October Blessings

Just a quick note to let you gals know that Dennis lost his mother quite suddenly on Monday. She had left here two years ago when his father died to live in her home town as a child.
They say that she had a massive heart attack or stroke. She died instantly.
Her funeral service is Saturday in Missouri but we will not be going, as they are bringing her here for burial next to his Dad on Monday. Dennis and I will be going out to the cemetery when she gets here. Not sure yet of the plans as there is no family or friends here. They were only here two years before his father died.

Busy week here.......... Dad is home and doing fine. The weather has turned so fast and we have decided to close the pool. We had a heater put in a few weeks ago but there is a part not working and it is on order. Thus we just decided to cover it up and open it early in April. I am looking forward to the fall and winter as I seem to have more time to accomplish things that I just cannot get to in the summer. Could it be that I would rather spend time outside around the pool and in the yard than WORK........................ You bettcha!

I am working on some projects in my shop that I want to share with you but that will happen in a couple of weeks. I am going to try and make a couple of wreaths for the front of the house this weekend. The flowers have been in the back of my car for weeks now. I will take pictures.

Well not much more to tell, I have news but it will keep for a couple of weeks. I have lots to do in the yard this fall, I hope that the weather permits.

Have a fun October as I will be off the blog now until the end of next week.
Love you guys much and look forward to getting back in touch.

I am now in that season here where the yard calls to me and after two days of real hard physical labor the house said hello...it is laundry and paperwork time.

    Blessings to you.

  7. I'm glad your dad's home and that seems to be better. Again, I'm very sorry about your husband's mom. I don't think it's much easier if you don't know each other. Please tell him that we care and are sorry.

  13. That's sad, always, to lose a loved one. But to read that she died suddenly made me have a sigh of relief...I would much rather read this, than to know that there would be longtime suffering before leaving us to the better side.

You're all in my thoughts and prayers.

So glad to hear that your dad is home again and doing better, my prayers continue for him.

I imagine it's a sad day when the pool has to be closed for the season! lol Most people around here closed their pools over a month ago already. You wouldn't believe what I woke up to this morning...yup, a white world! It's all gone again now but what a shock to get snow this early.

Looking forward to seeing what projects you've been working on in your shop:-) Love ya! xoxo
