Oh The Love Of God

I get an email each morning called "This Day's Thought" and it so touched my heart that I wanted to share it with you. We need to all stop and be still and understand what HE has done in each of our lives. We need to have a heart that is filled with gratitude for HIS grace in our lives.

The poem was followed with a scripture that was so perfect.....

One midnight, deep in starlight still,

I dreamed that I received this bill:

“( . . . . . . . in account with Life):

Five thousand breathless dawns all new;

Five thousand flowers fresh in dew;

Five thousand sunsets wrapped in gold;

One million snow-flakes served ice-cold;

Five quiet friends; one baby’s love;

One white-mad sea with clouds above;

One hundred music-haunted dreams

Of moon-drenched roads and hurrying streams;

Of prophesying winds, and trees;

Of silent stars and browsing bees;

One still night in a fragrant wood;

One heart that loved and understood.”

I wondered when I waked at day,

How- how in God’s name- I could pay!

For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the LORD that hath mercy on thee.

Isaiah 54:10

The King James Version

There is nothing more to say. HE paid a debt that I could not pay. HIS promises are precious and unmistakable in HIS word.

Have a blessed Tuesday. It is mammogram day for me I covet your prayers. I have had two lumps with two surgeries and two biopsy's.. and two very very long waits for results. You ladies understand........ Just pray for my peace of mind..

  3. That was beautiful!

    Father God, we just bow before you right now, lifting up our precious friend, Denise. We pray Father that you will just fill her with your perfect peace during this time as she has her test and then waits for the results. We believe that you know and see all things and already you have seen the outcome. Bless her, Father with your strength and your courage.
    In Jesus' name we pray,

  4. Sending you strength and courage ...

    Hoping for nothing but great results.

  5. Denise, what a beautiful poem...thank you.

    I had a mammogram today too. I'm keeping you n my thoughts and pray for only good news.

    Sorry to read your mom had another bad spell...I hope she continues to improve...I know she is getting lots of TLC...hugs, Linda

  6. Denise,

    This is a beautiful post. Love the poem. Yes, He paid our debts and saved us by grace. We are so blessed and will never be able to repay what He did for us.

    Glad the mammogram went well. Praise God for blessings received.

  7. There is nothing like poetry that can get to our heart so. This was precious. Apparently you made out okay, today? I haven't done much Facebook today.

  8. Waiting is the hardest. It once was that I never worried at all when I got a mammogram. Now I dread it and I dread the wait. Pray that it all turns out good for you.

  9. Waiting is the hardest. It once was that I never worried at all when I got a mammogram. Now I dread it and I dread the wait. Pray that it all turns out good for you.

  10. You've been in my heart and prayers.

    Thank you for sharing this with us. The LORD has paid it all and done it all for us. Amen! He's so amazing. His love is like none other. His giving surpasses human understanding and I see that in the precious BLOOD He shed for me and for you and for all.

    Love and blessings.

  11. Surely he has borne our sickness, and carried our suffering; yet we considered him plagued, struck by God, and afflicted.But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed. Isa 53: 4,5
    Let this be your confession day and night. There is power in God's word because He is His word. Love:)

  12. Oh thanks so much for your comments on my blog. Your blogs are so awsome God is using you in a mighty way. Blessings and Hope to you. Denise

  13. Yes, that was a great poem.

    I will be praying...good for you for going to a most unpleasant visit. I thank God for the peace that is our for the asking. I pray that you feel His presence lingering near as you wait. And that your heart will be at rest...for He already knows the outcome.
    He loves you so!

  14. I'm praying for you, Denise. I know the agony of waiting for those results and all that goes through your mind and heart during that time. He already knows, has a plan, a purpose and remember. . . . All that you have been given for today is all that you will need for today.

    The poem was just beautiful. It changed my attitude for today!!!! Thank you for that!

  15. I will be praying for you today.
    I hope that all goes well.
    Hope that your mom is doing better.
    Thanks for the poem, I truly enjoyed it.
    GOD is good.
    Hugs and prayers
