Happy Feet

Just wanted to stop by and SHARE!!!!!!!............  20lbs gone since the 15 of February.  Happy feet here in Oklahoma..........
This raw food diet has been a bit of a challenge for me and some days I do not do well but for the most part I am doing well.  All sugar gone and all processed food and fast food out of my life.  I think the only thing that I really miss is meat!   I am a meat eater and would rather have a big piece of fried chicken than a hot fudge sundae.

Well maybe not a HOT FUDGE sundae just a plain ole sundae!  hahahahah

Sooooooooooo  it is a challenge for me,  but we do eat a piece of grilled salmon two or three times a week and I do enjoy that.  Next step for me will be making some sweets and puddings on this raw food quest.  Lots of recipes out there so it should not be too hard.
Along with my elliptical and my total gym and now the POOL opened I plan on having the remaining 40 lbs off by the end of the year........... This is my year for Denise.  Time for me and get my body restored to good health.

I can take care of Mom and Dad and ME! I think that the Father God is ok with that don't you?

Changing the subject, pictures of the garden and finished fence is coming.  We have been working hard in the yard all last week and now the garden is ready to plant.   Summertime it is my FAVORITE of all the season....  Digging in the dirt bring me GREAT JOY!

What about the summertime brings YOU great joy?

  1. That is wonderful losing all that weight. I am trying to change my diet too. I've been gaining too much, and I have a high school reunion coming up. I love spring. Summer is a bit hot for me.

  4. Congratulations! I've been changing my "diet" to everything in moderation. Okay, so maybe I haven't experienced much weight loss but I sure have been losing a lot of head trips where weight and body issues are concerned. It works for me!

  5. I'm trying real hard not to be envious. I have only lost 7 in the past 4 weeks. I'm afraid I might have messed up this week. I've been weak!
I crave protein so I eat a lot of water packed tuna and grilled chicken.

Too often the caregiver neglects themselves which is not good for anyone. I'm happy you're taking care of yourself.
I'm anxious to get some planting started.
My favorite thing about summer is AC. I grew up without it so it is a blessing.

  6. Good for you! Keep up the good work...I know your body is appreciating all the sacrifices.
I am with you on getting outside and getting my hands in some dirt!
I have planted two things already...spinach and baby lettuce. I am having to behave myself and wait till Mothers Day to plant other things. It has been so warm here that I want to go ahead...but gotta watch for those stray frosts.
Glad things are going well...you sound refreshed.

  12. Wow!! You're doing great losing weight!! I had made a "resolution" the first of the year I was going to lose weight...and have lost 10 lbs....but I had hoped to do that in one month, not in 4 months!! Of course, sweets are definitely my weakness!! I can do without the bread!

    Keep up the good work!

  13. Hi Denise, I stopped by last night but was so tired to comment. Congratulations on your success with your weight loss. I need to start doing that. I know all about eating healthy foods and am very much for natural alternatives such as herbs, supplements, whole foods, lots of water and good exercise like walking. The problem with me is a combination of laziness and a sluggish thyroid which makes me very fatigued some days. That, of course, can change if I lose a few pounds--I've tried it before and it works. Pray for me to have the strength and committment to do it.

Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment on my Are You Human Too post. Ugghh...tough day yesterday, but today is way better. I love visiting with you. I click on your page often.

    Have a lovely day.
