Resting...... Listening........ Repenting.......

I thought on my ways, and turned my feet unto thy testimonies. I made haste, and delayed not to keep thy commandments.

Psalm 119:59-60

The King James Version

Listening to the voice of God does not always bring a smile.......... While we are still HE is able to search our hearts and find those things that we think we have hidden. Then comes the reproof and correction.

II Timothy 3:16 All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 3:17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. That was applied to my life today..... It hurt.

  1. Love you, friend. Hope this time of reflection is going well for you.
    Mama Bear

  2. It's those pains that make us remember the lesson. Remember , like we tell the kids after the repent...alright, It is finished.
    next :)
as in each moment, day , hour is new with Him. So shall we let it be for our selves.

  3. Denise, my friend...this is what you set out to do...God is performing a work in you...for your good...for His glory...

    Love you...hugs....

  4. The Father's correction is the surest sign of His great love! You are on the verge of something really good, dear Denise...God is working and moving in your heart!

    Bless you,

  5. Praying for you my friend, love you.

  6. It will always be a constant process until one day we reach that perfection...with Christ!

  7. My prayers and thoughts are with you. I had one of those days on Mother's Day....Hugs to you..m.

  8. So very true....Listening to God doesn't always bring a smile! and yes, he does bring thing to surface, only because he wants us to change them and make them better. I think the bible as an instruction manual for life, and when we don't follow the directions, things are all messed up, and then we have to read the instruction manual again, and again, and again, but we really don't follow the intrusions to the "T", cause if we did, we wouldn't need the GOD, or his instruction manual, right? I SOOOOOOO love you and all that you bring to me everyday!

  9. I miss you and stopped by to give my love to you. I know this time at the feet of Jesus is creating change in your life as His pruning and impartation is taking place within you.

I often remind myself that His correction MEANS that I am DEEPLY loved by Him so much so that He won't permit me to hang out there dry to the bone and apart from HIM ever!

    I love you sis.

  10. You see my state, and still increase my pain
I see your face, the need for union regain.
For my welfare, you have no care, I complain
Why do you heal me not from the sickness I disdain?
    You bring me down and leave me on the earthly plane;
Return me to my home, by your side let me remain.
    (from an ancient poet)
Hope your heart is full of hope.

  11. I understand. I think it may be called pruning. Ouch it does hurt but necessary.

  12. Dear friend:
Found you here!:-)Great post. His words do not always bring a smile but those times of pruning do allow for greater growth of the flowers in our lives...His beauty and image revealed in us.Love you~Sharon

  13. Been there, too, sweet lady....

Love you...always remembering you and your family in prayer...

  14. Denise, I don't know what to say after reading the incredible coments from the other women. I'll just say I care and I pray that you'll emerge on the other side feeling refreshed and new.

  15. Denise, I too have been searching my soul. For me God's plan was for me to take the whole winter off and regroup my heart and health. Then on April 1st God gave me persission to get out there and tell others my testomony. I will pray for you and I know God has a wonderful plan for you.

    Love and Hugs,
