Hello Girls

Well, I guess the summer sun is going to go and hide away soon and move aside for the beautiful colors of fall take it's place. I love the fall but just not ready for it's arrival!

So I thought I had better get out in the blog world and find out what each of you have been up to. It has been a fast summer which I hate but that is the way it is. Seems that we just get going and it is September. Where did it go.

We have several projects to do this fall and one of them is very important to me and I guess I will get out and get busy helping. We are painting our house. We live in a red brick home but we have wanted to paint if for a couple of years now. Trouble is I have not been able to find the right color. So the back of the house has these 4'x4' patches of different color paint all over one half of the back of the house. Hahahahaha!!

BUT I have found the paint and it is beautiful! It is hard to tell you the color because it is not sage green and it is not charcoal but it is sagiecharcoal! (is that a word?)
If you look at it one way it is sage but if you look at it from a far in the dusk of the evening it is charcoal!

There is a business on the south side of town across the street from a grocery store that we occasionally shop at and this business has the perfect color on the outside. I finally just walked over there and went in and talked to the owner about the color of the outside paint. They were so nice and they looked and looked in the store house outside for an old can but never could find an old can. BUT they did tell me where they got the paint and I was welcome to go and find the card, so that is exactly what I did and came back to their business after hours and took all my cards out of my purse and laid them all out on the side of their building! After a few minutes, there is was, the right color card and I was soooooooooooo excited!

Now we need to paint. My job is to trim all around the windows and doors and tape off the windows with newspaper. I can do that! I am going to try and start that tomorrow or Sunday afternoon and get it started. I will take before and after pictures. Our plan is to put dark charcoal shutters on it but that might be early spring. We will see how far we get.

We are also in the process of planning something else but I am going to wait just a little while before I share with you! We are so excited about it and it is something that we have waited for a long time! I will take pictures soon and tell you !!!!!!!!!

Well, Mom is doing good and let me tell you what I have done. I went on goggle and studied about anemia. Well there is a plethora of information out there and what I have found is that beet juice and wheat grass juice is like the CURE for anemia! So I have ordered a juicer that will handle beets and wheat grass and starting in a few days Mother will be getting about 4 ounces of beet and wheat grass juice mixed with carrot and apple juice daily.

I believe that God has provided us with exactly what we need for our bodies and if we will just study and read we will discover that the Dr's do not always know what is needed. I am going to believe God that this will help Mom to build good red blood cells . Also the wheat grass being high in chlorophyll is absorbed into the blood stream instantly taking with it oxygen which helps to clean the fog from our minds! I am praying that it helps Mom's dementia. Anyway, I was so hurt by what this hospital did with her I need to find a way to help her without depending on others that do not care.
I am in the process of writing letters to the hospital and to a few newspapers about what happened at the hospital. Let our voices be heard. God help us if we sit quietly while the enemy rages in our land. We are called as warriors and warriors we should be. Stand up and voice what is ours by right as free people and by right as children of the most high God!

Ok, I am climbing off my soap box now!

I need to get off here and get this posted and get out and about and visit! I have so much to catch up on so I am headed to YOUR blog!

What have YOU been up to?

p.s. I am in the process of changing my blog so be patient as I get all the colors figured out!

  1. I bet your house is going to look stunning, but you know what I like the brick looking homes in Oklahoma, something about them, they just go with the country, I don't know, hey what church do you go to? and is it in Seminole? (I know wrong spelling, I'm sure) my Aunt and cousin attend a church there and my wheels got to turning...you stay on the "soap box" sister and preach it to all the nations, after all like you said we ARE warriors!
    I LOVE YOU~

  6. Denise, my summer has flown too. We painted our house a few years back...a big job, but so wonderful when finished...I can hardly wait to see the color and your surprise project...?????:).

Hearing your mom is doing much better does my heart good...I think the addition of the beets and wheat grass with the veggies will be great. I hear the juicers are terrific.

    Hugs, to all...Linda

  8. Denise,

I'm looking forward to seeing the before and after photos of you house. sagiecharcoal sounds nice to me. I'm glad you were able to find the perfect colour.

I do hope what you're planning is some time away. Did I guess correctly? You certainly deserve it and definitely need it.

Yes, God has provided all we need for our bodies. I still use as many of Grandma's home remedies as I can. Beet juice is great. They are high in iron. Liver once a week also...it is high in iron. Anything that is high in iron is good. I'm just wondering what type of anemia your mother has.

Take care. God Bless you for taking care of your sweet mother.

    Hugs,
    Mary

I love the fall....it is my favorite time of year.....and living here makes it so much nicer.

I am glad you found the right paint...it will be nice for you to have the projected that you have wanted to do....completed!

Good for you for getting out there and finding what will help your Mom. I've done the whole juicing thing once before....I think I like eating those things whole instead. ;) But if it will save your Mom from another trip to the hospital....juice away! :)
Wear some gloves when you handle those beets!
